오늘 오후에 저는 공원에 가요.
날씨가 좋아요. 그래서 산책을 해요.
공원에 나무가 많고 꽃도 있어요.
저는 천천히 걸어요.
그리고 벤치에 앉아요.
공원 분위기가 정말 편해요.
그런데 사람이 조금 많아요.
저는 사진을 몇 장 찍고 집에 가요.
오늘 산책은 짧지만 기분이 좋아요.

1. 오늘 오후에 저는 공원에 가요.

오늘 오후에 = this afternoon
저는 = I / topic
공원에 = to the park
가요 = go
This sentence means: This afternoon, I go to the park.

The particle can show time or destination.

2. 날씨가 좋아요. 그래서 산책을 해요.

날씨가 좋아요 = the weather is good
그래서 = so, therefore
산책을 해요 = take a walk
This sentence means: The weather is good. So I take a walk.

그래서 connects a reason and a result.

3. 공원에 나무가 많고 꽃도 있어요.

공원에 = in the park
나무가 많고 = there are many trees and
꽃도 있어요 = there are flowers too
This sentence means: There are many trees in the park, and there are flowers too.

-고 connects two descriptions. means “also” or “too.”

4. 저는 천천히 걸어요.

저는 = I / topic
천천히 = slowly
걸어요 = walk
This sentence means: I walk slowly.

5. 그리고 벤치에 앉아요.

그리고 = and, then
벤치에 = on a bench
앉아요 = sit
This sentence means: And then, I sit on a bench.

그리고 is used to add the next action or idea.

6. 공원 분위기가 정말 편해요.

공원 분위기가 = the park atmosphere / subject
정말 = really
편해요 = comfortable, relaxing
This sentence means: The atmosphere of the park is really relaxing.

분위기 is a useful everyday word. It means “atmosphere” or “vibe.”

7. 그런데 사람이 조금 많아요.

그런데 = but, however
사람이 = people / subject
조금 많아요 = there are a little many people
This sentence means: But there are quite a few people.

그런데 introduces a contrast or a new point.

8. 오늘 산책은 짧지만 기분이 좋아요.

오늘 산책은 = today’s walk / topic
짧지만 = short, but
기분이 좋아요 = I feel good
This sentence means: Today’s walk is short, but I feel good.

-지만 means “but.” This pattern is a little higher than basic A1, but it is very common in daily Korean.

English Translation

This afternoon, I go to the park.
The weather is good. So I take a walk.
There are many trees in the park, and there are flowers too.
I walk slowly.
And then, I sit on a bench.
The atmosphere of the park is really relaxing.
But there are quite a few people.
I take a few photos and go home.
Today’s walk is short, but I feel good.
