오늘 저는 작은 서점에 가요.
서점은 조용하고 분위기가 좋아요.
저는 한국어 책을 구경해요.
책 표지가 예뻐요. 그런데 가격이 조금 비싸요.
그래서 저는 책을 바로 사지 않아요.
의자에 앉아서 책을 조금 읽어요.
그리고 마음에 드는 책 한 권을 찾아요.
오늘은 책을 사지 않지만 다음에 다시 오고 싶어요.

Sentence Notes
1. 오늘 저는 작은 서점에 가요.
저는 = I / topic
작은 서점에 = to a small bookstore
가요 = go
The particle 에 can show the destination of movement.
2. 서점은 조용하고 분위기가 좋아요.
조용하고 = quiet and
분위기가 좋아요 = the atmosphere is good
-고 connects two descriptions. 분위기 means “atmosphere” or “vibe.”
3. 저는 한국어 책을 구경해요.
한국어 책을 = Korean books / object
구경해요 = look around, browse
구경하다 is a useful word when you look around in a place, store, or area.
4. 책 표지가 예뻐요. 그런데 가격이 조금 비싸요.
그런데 = but, however
가격이 조금 비싸요 = the price is a little expensive
그런데 introduces a contrast or a new point.
5. 그래서 저는 책을 바로 사지 않아요.
저는 = I / topic
책을 = book / object
바로 사지 않아요 = do not buy right away
지 않아요 is used to make a negative sentence.
6. 의자에 앉아서 책을 조금 읽어요.
책을 = book / object
조금 읽어요 = read a little
-아/어서 can connect two related actions naturally.
7. 그리고 마음에 드는 책 한 권을 찾아요.
마음에 드는 책 = a book that I like
한 권 = one book
찾아요 = find, look for
마음에 들다 is a very natural expression. It means “to like” or “to be pleased with something.”
8. 오늘은 책을 사지 않지만 다음에 다시 오고 싶어요.
책을 사지 않지만 = I do not buy a book, but
다음에 다시 = next time again
오고 싶어요 = want to come
-지만 means “but.” -고 싶어요 means “want to do something.”
English Translation
Today, I go to a small bookstore.
The bookstore is quiet, and the atmosphere is nice.
I browse Korean books.
The book cover is pretty. But the price is a little expensive.
So I do not buy the book right away.
I sit on a chair and read a little.
And then, I find one book that I like.
I do not buy a book today, but I want to come again next time.
