이번 주말에 저는 친구를 만날 거예요.
우리는 먼저 카페에 갈 거예요.
카페에서 커피를 마시고 이야기를 할 거예요.
저는 친구에게 “영화를 볼까요?”라고 물어요.
친구는 “좋아요. 영화를 봅시다.”라고 말해요.
카페에 간 후에 우리는 영화관에 갈 거예요.
저는 코미디 영화를 보고 싶어요.
시간이 있으면 저녁도 같이 먹을 거예요.
이번 주말이 정말 기대돼요.

1. 이번 주말에 저는 친구를 만날 거예요.
저는 = I / topic
친구를 = a friend / object
만날 거예요 = will meet
-(으)ㄹ 거예요 is used to talk about future plans.
2. 우리는 먼저 카페에 갈 거예요.
먼저 = first
카페에 = to a cafe
갈 거예요 = will go
The particle 에 can show the destination of movement.
3. 카페에서 커피를 마시고 이야기를 할 거예요.
커피를 마시고 = drink coffee and
이야기를 할 거예요 = will talk
-고 connects two actions in order or in a simple list.
4. 저는 친구에게 “영화를 볼까요?”라고 물어요.
친구에게 = to my friend
영화를 볼까요? = Shall we watch a movie?
물어요 = ask
-(으)ㄹ까요? can be used to make a suggestion or ask about an idea.
5. 친구는 “좋아요. 영화를 봅시다.”라고 말해요.
좋아요 = good, okay
영화를 봅시다 = let’s watch a movie
말해요 = says
-(으)ㅂ시다 is used to say “let’s” in a polite way.
6. 카페에 간 후에 우리는 영화관에 갈 거예요.
우리는 = we / topic
영화관에 = to the movie theater
갈 거예요 = will go
-(으)ㄴ 후에 means “after doing something.”
7. 저는 코미디 영화를 보고 싶어요.
코미디 영화를 = a comedy movie / object
보고 싶어요 = want to watch
-고 싶어요 is used to say “I want to do something.”
8. 시간이 있으면 저녁도 같이 먹을 거예요.
저녁도 = dinner too / also dinner
같이 = together
먹을 거예요 = will eat
-(으)면 means “if” or “when” depending on the context.
English Translation
This weekend, I will meet a friend.
We will go to a cafe first.
At the cafe, we will drink coffee and talk.
I ask my friend, “Shall we watch a movie?”
My friend says, “Okay. Let’s watch a movie.”
After going to the cafe, we will go to the movie theater.
I want to watch a comedy movie.
