Is this course for complete beginners?
Yes. The course assumes no previous knowledge of Korean. If you cannot read Hangul yet, begin with the included seven-lesson Hangul Course before starting A1.
What if I already know Hangul or some beginner Korean?
You can skip the Hangul Course and begin with A1. If you already recognize some beginner grammar, the Practice Lessons and Interactive Sentence Practice will help you organize and actively use what you know.
What is the difference between the two options?
The core course is identical. The $69 option gives you six months of access. The $99 Complete package gives you 12 months of access and includes the Beginner Korean PDF Textbook.
Is this a subscription?
No. Both options are one-time payments. You will not be charged again automatically.
Do I need the textbook to complete the course?
No. You can complete all video lessons and Interactive Sentence Practice without the textbook. The textbook is an optional companion for learners who want additional written explanations, examples, and offline review.
How much time should I set aside?
Most learners will benefit from two or three study sessions per week. The course includes more than 10 hours of video, but practice and review time are just as important as watching the lessons.
What level will I reach?
